International Women's Day Recap
In solidarity with the Women’s March and A Day Without A Woman, we offered a sanctuary space on International Women’s Day at Free Range. As a woman owned and operated business, we encouraged participants to gather for a full day of collective action and community support, including complimentary coworking + childcare.
Attendees had the opportunity to cowork and network with fellow women and mothers, while participating in a letter writing campaign sending concerns to Congress as part of the 10 Actions for 100 Days campaign spearheaded by the Women’s March organization.
“It would be a rare moment in history where complacency should be the order of the day,” said Liane Jackson, Free Range founder. “And we are living in a time that calls for unity, action, and pitching in to help all who have been, or are being, disenfranchised, and whose voices must be heard. We are encouraged and on board with helping women seize this moment, in whatever way our business can.”
As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting women’s issues and empowerment, Free Range offers coworking fellowships to working mothers and entrepreneurs, and discounted, or free, meeting space to local women’s organizations and nonprofits advocating on behalf of women and mothers. Free Range is also producing an entrepreneurship series to help new mothers seeking flexibility through business ownership, with a particular focus on underrepresented groups and low income moms.
